I am a caring and compassionate counselor for my clients and a fierce advocate for Legal Justice to my opponents in court. I work hard to ensure that my clients are well served and receive the best outcome possible for whatever their legal need may be. I am well respected in the Legal community and the Ann Arbor community at large. I have lived, worked, been educated and raised a family in this community for more than 25 years.

My legal experience and expertise is wide and varied. I have managed to master the skills necessary to effectively assist clients in Criminal, Juvenile, Probate, Guardianship, Education, Family, Elder Law and Personal Injury matters. My Masters in Social Work combined with my Law experience has given me the tools necessary to assess a situation, apply the law and get the results that are always in the best interest of my clients. My goal is to always work with my clients to ensure that their legal needs are addressed in a manner that is professional and effective.

I earned two Associate Degrees at Washtenaw Community College, in Criminal Justice and Liberal Arts. I went on to further my education by earning two degrees at the University of Michigan, AB in Communications and Master of Social Work, and finally earned a Juris Doctorate at the University of Toledo, all while working full time and raising a family. I have been fortunate enough to have worked for several years at the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s Office as well as several local academic institutions. These work experiences have given me unprecedented experience to be able to handle any manner of Criminal Case as well as a variety of other legal matters presented to me.

If you trust me with your legal matter you will leave with a feeling that your voice was heard and your legal issues were thoroughly addressed.

NATIONAL GUARDIANSHIP ASSOCIATION

Guardianship is a legal process utilized when a person can no longer make or communicate safe or sound decisions about his/her person and/or property, or has become susceptible to fraud or undue influence. Because establishing a guardianship may remove considerable rights from an individual, it should only be considered after alternatives to guardianship have proven ineffective or are unavailable.

As a Certified National Guardian I am a professional guardian who has attained the skills and experience necessary to be Nationally Certified through NGA. I have served as a guardian for many years to many individuals. My years of experience as a Social Worker, combined with my legal experience in probate courts, have empowered me to become a strong advocate for safe and productive independence for those that allow me to serve as their Guardian. Maximizing independence and maintaining family ties are my goals for Guardianships.

I am a professional guardian I joins over 1000 guardians in the public and private, for profit and not-for-profit agencies and organizations, as well as concerned individuals. Because of our extensive training and experience Professional Guardians are sometimes better able to make the hard decisions, in the best interest of the ward, than family members. NGA provides its members with education and training on current issues related to guardianship, values, ethics and standards, and an opportunity to set a national agenda to ensure standards of excellence.

If you or a Family member is in need of a Professional Guardian please call me. It would be my honor to serve.
